Harriet was born and raised in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from South Philadelphia High School.. Harriet later moved to Burgaw, North Carolina, where she worked for the North Carolina Housing Authority for thirteen years. After leaving the housing authority, she became a North Carolina Correctional Officer of eighteen years retiring on January 1st, 2020. As of 2013 she has served as an advocate for abused and neglected children through the North Carolina Guardian Ad Litem Program. She's also a licensed preacher with multiple certificates in ministry, leadership training, and substance abuse training, She also received her associate degree in Biblical Studies. Harriet is currently employed as an Environmental Service Assistant at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. A devote Christian, a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. It is her ultimate desire to open a transitional house for low risk offenders.
